I’ve previously enjoyed Marukyu Koyamaen Isuzu, but Yamamasa Koyamaen Ogurayama has genuinely surpassed it for me!
What I adore most is its beautiful natural sweetness and how incredibly smooth it is when brewed. The flavour is so well-balanced and enjoyable without needing to rely on added sweeteners.
I’m not entirely sure whether my improved storage methods have contributed to the experience, but the difference has been noticeable.
Hands down, this is the best matcha I’ve personally tasted to date! It’s quickly become my favourite, and I would absolutely repurchase it. Highly recommend to anyone who appreciates a naturally sweet, smooth matcha.

Really smooth and well-balanced matcha with very little bitterness. It has a nice umami flavour and works beautifully both on its own and as a latte. A lovely everyday matcha.

I LOVE this item and it’s so convenient ordering from juku as I avoid all the drama with import license. Great product, I notice a difference with my gut health and skin when I eat it daily over a month or so.

I've tried quite a few matcha powders over the years and this has quickly become one of my favourites. The quality is excellent!!! The powder is incredibly fine and mixes smoothly with no clumps and has a beautiful vibrant green colour. The flavour is well balanced with a naturally sweet, earthy taste and very little bitterness making it perfect to drink on its own or in a matcha latte. It tastes fresh and authentic, and you can really tell it's high quality. Highly recommend this product and JUKU :)
