Marukyu Koyamaen Wako - Japanese Ceremonial Matcha

Wako is a mid-tier ceremonial matcha from Marukyu Koyamaen, positioned a clear step above the everyday Aoarashi and Isuzu grades. Stone-ground from shade-grown tencha in Uji, Kyoto, it's made for drinkers who have found their footing with ceremonial matcha and are ready to go deeper.
A strong choice for a slower morning ritual or a considered afternoon bowl. It will hold up in a latte, but at this price point it's best appreciated whisked straight as usucha.
How to brew (usucha)
Sift 1.5–2g (approximately ½ tsp) into your bowl. Add 60–70ml of water at 70–80°C. Whisk in a brisk W motion until frothy. Drink immediately.
How to brew (matcha latte)
Whisk 2–3g with a small amount of hot water to form a paste, then add steamed or cold milk of your choice.
