Beni Kaori is a premium hojicha from Marukyu Koyamaen, made in Uji, Kyoto from first-picked Kawayanagi tea leaves blended with Karigane (kukicha) stems sourced from tencha. The blend is then roasted to develop its signature character: a warm, toasty aroma with the gentle sweetness that comes from high-quality stems.
Lower in caffeine than green tea or matcha, it's a natural choice for afternoon and evening drinking. Works equally well hot or cold-brewed, and makes a smooth hojicha latte when brewed strong and topped with steamed milk.
How to brew
Use 3–4g per 200ml. Steep in water at 90–95°C for 30–45 seconds. For cold brew, steep in cold water for 4–6 hours.
About this product
